Knoxville’s 2009 Thanksgiving Holiday Schedule

knoxvilleNovember 19, 2009 – City of Knoxville offices will be closed Thursday and Friday, November 27th and 28th in observance of the Thanksgiving Day holiday.

Waste Connections, the city’s household garbage collector, will be closed on Thanksgiving Day. They will pick up Thursday’s garbage on Friday and Friday’s garbage on Saturday.

The downtown trash collection will not run on Thanksgiving day and will pick up garbage on Friday at their regular schedule.

The city’s recycling centers will be open on Thursday, Thanksgiving Day.

The Knox County Convenience Centers will be closed Thursday, Thanksgiving Day.

The Knox County Greenwaste facility in Solway will be closed Thursday, Thanksgiving Day.

The City’s Solid Waste Management Facility located at 1033 Elm Street will be closed Thursday, Friday and Saturday for Thanksgiving Holiday.
