December 8, 2009 – There will be a City Council Workshop on Recycling at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 10 in the City County Building, Small Assembly Room.
Knoxville City Council is holding a workshop to consider issues related to establishing a curbside-pickup, single-stream recycling program in the city.
DSM Environmental Services, working through The Climate Group’s Model Cities Initiative, will present the benefits and costs of offering curbside recycling as a new city service to residences who sign up to participate.
The presentation will help City Council weigh the short and long-term costs of the program against the benefits it would provide.
