Knoxville Turkish LogoOn September 19th, Sunday, between 11.00am- 6.00 pm the Knoxville Turkish Cultural Center will be offering Turkish food delicacies, baked-goods and crafts with sales benefitting the Smoky Mountain Children’s Home.  Door prizes including such unique gift items as Turkish handcrafts, Turkish towels, jewelry and delicious authentic Turkish food will be offered.  Turkish children will perform a Turkish folk dance during the day and fun activities will be provided for all attending children.  The “Share the Wish” fund-raising event will be held in the parking lot of the cultural center at 7035 Middlebrook Pike in Knoxville, TN.

The Knoxville Turkish Cultural Center has organized monthly visits to Smoky Mountain Children’s Home in 2010 in order to involve the center’s Turkish community members with charitable work and continue a Turkish long tradition of extending a helping hand to people in need. This upcoming event has the same objective of helping children and increasing interaction among people from different cultures and nationalities.

Knoxville Turkish Cultural Center is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization founded in 2008 by Turkish-Americans. Knoxville Turkish Cultural Center focuses on promoting dialogue among people of different backgrounds and cultures through educational, cultural, humanitarian, and specialty programs. The net profit of this fund-raising event will be donated to Smoky Mountain Children’s Home.
