On September 10-11, and September 17-18, during the back-to-back weekends of the annual rod-runs, Valley Spas, Inc. hosted the first annual “Veranda Extravaganza” at the Red Roof Mall in Pigeon Forge, TN to benefit the Smoky Mountain Children’s Home.
Jamie Koteski of Valley Spas decided that she wanted to give something back to her community in honor of her deceased sister, Leigha Samples Tucker, who was killed in a farming accident on April 7, 2010.
“Leigha’s driven passion for children, life, and love inspired many, especially me. I wanted to continue her legacy of giving back the blessings that she was given during her life,” said Koteski.
With Jamie’s personal drive behind the project, members of the both the Red Roof Mall and the Pigeon Forge Community donated items that were raffled during the “Veranda Extravaganza” with all proceeds given to The Smoky Mountain Children’s Home.
On September 18, at the conclusion of the event, Koteski and her father-in-law, Paul Gaumond, owner of Valley Spas Inc. presented a check totaling $562.51 to Beth Durham, Public Relations Coordinator, at The Home.
“The Smoky Mountain Children’s Home greatly appreciates the hard work of Jamie Koteski, and the teamwork of the following participants in this event: Valley Spas Inc., Smoky Mtn.
