The Premier Surgical Associates team of 139 physicians, staff, family members and friends participated in the 14th Annual Komen Knoxville Race for the Cure in downtown Knoxville on Oct. 30. Premier also served as a gold-level sponsor of the event that drew more than 15,000 participants to World’s Fair Park.
“Our commitment to the health and well-being of East Tennessee is not confined within the doors of our exam and operating rooms,” said Premier’s Dr. Lytle Brown IV, who is also physician liaison on the Susan G. Komen Knoxville board of directors. “Our Premier family is dedicated to supporting the mission of Susan G. Komen for the Cure and its tireless work to find a cure for breast cancer.”
Premier has entered a team in Knoxville’s Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure since 1999. This year, the team raised additional funds for the cause through the sale of pink smoothies, baked goods and T-shirts.
