TGI Friday’s Gatlinburg has partnered with the Gatlinburg Community Police Program (GCOPP) again this year for the annual “Tips for Kids” program. Gatlinburg Police Department officers will be serving guests at TGI Friday’s in Gatlinburg on Wednesday, December 1st from 6pm to 10pm. All tips received at TGI Friday’s in Gatlinburg by the GPD on Wednesday will help support their efforts. For more information, call TGI Friday’s at 865-436-8443.
The funds raised by the GCOPP assist families of domestic violence, the Boy’s and Girl’s Club of Gatlinburg, and families who are in need throughout the year. With their Christmas dinner and gift give-away, Easter egg hunt, kid’s summer camp, and Halloween party, the organization has made a great impact in the Gatlinburg community. The GCOPP also holds safety classes on firearms, hiking, the internet and drugs. Fun events such as bike rides through Cades Cove and white water rafting are also made possible with the funds.
GCOPP’s Summer Golf Tournament and “Tips for Kids” are the only programs that bring in funds for GCOPP’s projects. They also accept private donations at the Gatlinburg Police Department.
GCOPP was created seven years ago by Chief Brackins, Jason Bennett, Ronnie France and Terri Stines.
