Tickets On Sale Jan. 20
CMA Songwriters Series will return to the venue where it all began, New York City’s Joe’s Pub, on Thursday, March 24 (6:30 and 9:00 PM/ET). This will be the seventh year for the wildly popular series that continues to play to sell-out crowds.
Featuring MCA Nashville recording artist Ashton Shepherd (“Look It Up,” “Takin’ Off This Pain,” and “Sounds So Good,” all recorded by Shepherd), the CMA Songwriters Series allows music fans insight into the stories behind some of their favorite songs.
“Songwriting is and always will be the backbone of country music,” said Shepherd. I’m just proud God chose me to write songs, and I thank Him every day that I have a chance to be a part of something so special.”
Joining Shepherd will be Rivers Rutherford (“Real Good Man” recorded by Tim McGraw, “Ain’t Nothin’ Bout You” recorded by Brooks & Dunn, and “When I Get Where I’m Goin’” recorded by Brad Paisley and Dolly Parton), and Chris Wallin (“Don’t Blink” recorded by Kenny Chesney, “Love Me If You Can” recorded by Toby Keith, and “I’m Tryin’” recorded by Trace Adkins). Bob DiPiero (“Southern Voice” recorded by Tim McGraw, “Blue Clear Sky” recorded by George Strait, and “You Can’t Take the Honky Tonk Out of the Girl” recorded by Brooks & Dunn) will serve as host for the evening.
