CMAfestLogoMerchandise for 2011 CMA Music Festival, held Thursday-Sunday, June 9-12 in downtown Nashville, is now available for sale at CMAfest.com providing attendees the opportunity to arrive dressed to impress in official apparel celebrating the 40th anniversary of the event, which started as Fan Fair® in 1972.

“CMA Music Festival fans are as loyal and passionate as ever,” said Steve Moore, CMA Chief Executive Officer. “This year’s line of merchandise embraces our legacy while staying current with today’s trends. Fans new and old will find something that will help them celebrate the great times they’ve had – and will have – at our event.”

The merchandise line features nearly 20 products and is produced by Music City Merchandise, CMA’s merchandise partner since 1996.

In commemorating the Festival’s anniversary, several vintage inspired pieces have been created. A variation of the original Fan Fair globe logo – used from 1977 until 1988 – is displayed on the front of a green shirt (available in adult and youth sizes), as well as a key chain. In the design, the logo is featured on the front and the tag-line “40 years of bringing fans and stars together” on the back of both the shirt and key chain. In addition, a red heathered guitar T-shirt; six-panel red, white, and blue hat; unisex gray zip-up hoodie; and commemorative license plate all boast the heritage of the event.

As previously announced, the spirit of CMA Music Festival – the connection between artists and fans – has been captured in an illustration developed as a part of the Anderson Design Group’s Spirit of Nashville poster series. The design, which is available as a full size poster and T-shirt, features the silhouette of a Country star reaching down to his fans. Created as part of the 40th anniversary celebration, the artwork truly captures what the Festival is all about.

Other merchandise includes two additional hats; organic, unisex T-shirt with a guitar pick motif; ladies orange sorbet fitted T-shirt with pink detail; misses pink T-shirt with pastel colored details; ladies raspberry tank top; drink koozie; and the official event T-shirt offered in three different shades: including white, Carolina blue, and charcoal.

More than 2,000 Country acts, from the legends and superstars to today’s rising hit makers and hopefuls, have lent their time and talent to the CMA Music Festival. Nashville’s signature music event features concerts, autograph signings, family activities, and more. This unparalleled celebration of America’s music draws thousands of fans and media from all corners of the globe to Nashville. CMA Music Festival was dubbed the “crown jewel of Country Music festivals” by USA Today and winner of the International Entertainment Buyers Association’s 2004, 2006, 2008, and 2010 LIVE! Award for Festival of the Year.

Half the net proceeds from CMA Music Festival benefit music education in Metro Nashville Public Schools through CMA’s “Keep the Music Playing” initiative with $4.7 million contributed since the program’s inception in 2006.
