June is Adopt-A-Shelter-Cat Month, and Young-Williams Animal Center is full of cats and kittens looking for new, loving homes.
“At the start of summer, we start to see our intake of kittens increase significantly,” said Tim Adams of Young-Williams Animal Center. “In the month of June alone last year, we took in more than 600 kittens and nearly 400 adult cats.
“We’ve got cats of all different sizes, ages, breeds and personalities – all waiting for a loving family. And, cats make great companions.”
To celebrate Adopt-A-Shelter-Cat Month, Young-Williams Animal Center is offering special weekly promotions to help find forever homes for cats and kittens this June:
Kittyroo – June 5-11: A nod to one of the biggest music festivals of the summer taking place in middle Tennessee at the end of this week, adult cats ages six months to seven years old will be available for a $50 adoption fee. The regular adoption fee for adult cats is $75. Be sure to check out adoptable felines named after some of your favorite rock stars and musical acts headlining the festival.
Oldies Week – June 12-18: They may be oldies, but they are sure are “goodies.” During this week, all senior cats ages seven years old and up are available for a $25 adoption fee. The regular adoption fee for senior cats is $50. This is a wonderful opportunity to bring home a loving, silver-whiskered companion.
Smitten with Kittens – June 19-25: There’s no resisting a cute and cuddly kitten, so why even try? Adopt a kitten under six months of age for $125 instead of the regular kitten adoption fee of $150. Consider bringing home a playmate and adopt two kittens for only $200 this week.
One, Two, Free! – June 26-July 4: You can get double the love this week. Adopt one adult cat for the regular adoption fee of $75 and adopt a second adult cat for free. After all, aren’t two feline friends better than one?
