Marcella J. Greene, M.D., has joined Premier Surgical Associates as a general surgeon in the group’s Mercy St. Mary’s and Mercy North and offices. Premier, headquartered in Knoxville, Tenn., is the region’s largest surgical group.
“Dr. Greene is a great addition to the group in our Mercy offices,” said Kevin Burris, CEO of Premier Surgical Associates. “She has exceptional skills and shares our ‘patients first’ philosophy.”
A graduate of Lee University in Cleveland, Tenn., Greene received her medical degree from East Tennessee State University’s Quillen College of Medicine and also completed her surgical residency there.
“I’m very happy to stay in the East Tennessee area and to join such an outstanding group of surgeons,” Greene said. “My surgical interests include all general surgery with an emphasis on abdominal, thyroid and breast surgery, making Premier an ideal fit for me. I look forward to serving patients in the Knoxville community.”
Greene lives in West Knoxville with husband Danny and their two dogs.
Greene is now accepting referrals in general surgery.
