Sevierville (TN) – Mary Rivet, co-owner of ABC Embroidery, earned the Sevierville Chamber of Commerce Friendship Award for December at the recent Coffee Talk event. Rivet and her husband have owned ABC Embroidery for twelve years.
“It’s amazing the things that the Sevierville Chamber does,” says Rivet. “They bring everyone together in such unique ways and make it possible for the businesses to connect with each other. My favorite part is being around the people. I don’t just consider them customers, I consider them friends and getting to see them each month is wonderful. The way the whole thing is handled is such a blessing and we are very fortunate to have Jim McGill at our Chamber.”
As a thank you for her dedication, Rivet received 10 tickets to a 2012 Smokies Baseball game as well as a plaque courtesy of Sign Master.
“Mary networks at Chamber events to grow her business,” says Sevierville Chamber membership coordinator Jim McGill. “Our last Coffee Talk had over 200 attendees and that means a lot of prospects.”
Sevierville Chamber of Commerce Friendship Awards are based on points accumulated monthly from attending Chamber functions and volunteering as well as bringing inactive members and potential new members to Chamber events. Monthly points will go towards determining the Chamber Friend of the Year Award recipient.
The next Chamber Friendship Award will be presented during Coffee Talk on February 21, 2012, hosted by American Business Women’s Association. Coffee Talk begins at 8am at the Sevierville Civic Center. Guests are welcome to attend and learn more about the Sevierville Chamber of Commerce.
