GATLINBURG, Tenn., Sept. 25, 2009: Through the Gatlinburg Chamber of Commerce, the newly re-opened Christ in the Smokies hosted a Business During Hours event at their attraction at the old Christus Gardens location on River Road. More than 130 Chamber members came to tour the recently enhanced dioramas on a narrated tour through the museum, which features life-size depiction of the life of Jesus Christ. Every attendee went on the full tour before enjoying a lovely spread of delicious food from Bennett’s Pit Barbeque in the covered garden area.
Mayor Jerry Hays and City Manager Cindy Ogle, along with new members to the Chamber, fraMANIA! And Magic and Novelty Shop joined other local business people for this wonderful networking opportunity. Any member business can schedule a similar event to show members what their facilities have to offer.
Vicki Simms, Executive Director of the Gatlinburg Chamber said “What an exciting day for Gatlinburg to have such a fantastic landmark available once again to our visitors. This is definitely a welcome addition to our membership and to Gatlinburg as a whole.”
