Knoxville Zoo is looking for friendly and energetic people at their annual Job Fair, which will be held Saturday, February 20 from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the zoo’s Lee Congleton Conference Center.

Seasonal positions are available in the zoo’s Guest Services department, including retail sales, food service, carousel and camel ride operations and membership and ticket sales. The zoo is also hiring for positions that will assist with educational programs and in the Clayton Family Kids Cove contact yard and playground.

Knoxville Zoo LogoFirst-round interviews will be conducted during the Job Fair. Some positions will begin work immediately and others will start on a staggered schedule throughout the late winter and early spring. Those interested in attending the Job Fair should come to the Ranger Station, to the right of the zoo’s main entrance, for directions to the Lee Congleton Conference Center.

Most positions require applicants who are 16-years or older, although some positions are available for applicants who are 15-years-old. Seniors and retirees are encouraged to apply as well. Weekend and holiday hours are required, but employees do not have to work nights. Knoxville Zoo is an equal-opportunity employer and a Tennessee Drug-Free Workplace. Knoxville Zoo is located off exit 392 from Interstate 40 and is open every day except Christmas Day. The zoo is nationally accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums and is committed to the highest standards in animal care and well-being, ethics, conservation, and education. Currently, the zoo is open every day from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Admission and ticket sales stop one hour before the zoo closes.
