Sevierville’s 48th Annual Christmas Parade will fill the streets of historic downtown Sevierville, Tennessee on Saturday December 4 beginning at 11am.
Unique new entries for 2010 include Hoop Mood Teens, a hula hoop dance team from Sevierville Middle School, a horse and carriage from Heritage Carriage Rides and a special float from the new attraction Lumberjack Feud.
“The 48th annual Sevierville Christmas parade will be a mix of traditional entries our spectators have enjoyed for years along with innovative ideas from first time participants,” says parade organizer Carroll McMahan of the Sevierville Chamber of Commerce. He continues, “The interest and support of the local community is always overwhelming.”
Crowd favorites will be back as well including area mascots, majorettes, the antique yellow Blalock’s truck and more. The parade will conclude with the traditional arrival of Santa Claus.
The parade will originate in the parking lot of the First Baptist Church, exit the parking lot and travel west on Honey Street, turn right (north) on Fork-of-the-River Parkway, right (east) on Main Street, right (south) on Court Avenue and continue back to the First Baptist Church parking area.
