American Legion Post 104 Honor Guard

After being absent for several years, Sevierville’s American Legion Post 104 will once again carry the colors during the Sevierville Christmas Parade on Saturday December 4 in downtown Sevierville. The parade begins at 11am.

Sevierville Chamber special projects facilitator Carroll McMahan says, “We are very happy that honor guard commander Paul Parrott was able to coordinate the Post 104 honor guard for the Sevierville Christmas Parade. We are thrilled to have them back leading the parade.”

Many veterans from the American Legion Post 104 will march in the parade, while those veterans no longer able to walk will ride on the float along with the Post 104 Auxiliary.

In addition, RIDERS 104, the Post 104 motorcycle group, will participate in the parade.

“I am extremely excited that after a few year’s absence our local veterans will be actively participating in the Sevierville Christmas Parade,” says Steven Holbert, past post commander and current director of RIDERS 104. “We hope to make participation in the Sevierville Christmas Parade an annual event for us.”

The parade will originate in the parking lot of the First Baptist Church, exit the parking lot and travel west on Honey Street, turn right (north) on Fork-of-the-River Parkway, right (east) on Main Street, right (south) on Court Avenue and continue back to the First Baptist Church parking area.

For more information, call the Sevierville Chamber of Commerce at (865) 453-6411.
