Sevierville (TN) – Karla Park, Area Sales Representative for Dixie Stampede, earned the Sevierville Chamber of Commerce Friendship Award for August at the recent Coffee Talk event. Park has worked for Dixie Stampede for the past eleven years. She has earned the Sevierville Chamber Friendship Award several times since the program began in 2006 and also earned the Sevierville Chamber Friend of the Year award in 2008.
“As always, the Sevierville Chamber of Commerce is an important part of my life,” says Park. “I’m proud to be a member of this organization and highly recommend it to other people in the business community.”
As a thank you for her dedication, Park received a $100 Wal-Mart gift card courtesy of Comfort Inn Apple Valley and a plaque courtesy of Sign Master.
“Miss Karla always has a high energy smile at Chamber events and is very proactive in promoting Dixie Stampede at those events,” says membership coordinator Jim McGill. “Karla understands the benefits of being active with the chamber and is always encouraging others to become active as well.”
Sevierville Chamber of Commerce Friendship Awards are based on points accumulated monthly from attending Chamber functions and volunteering as well as bringing inactive members and potential new members to Chamber events. Monthly points will go towards determining the Chamber Friend of the Year Award recipient.
The next Chamber Friendship Award will be presented during Coffee Talk on November 15, 2011, hosted by Sevier County Economic Development Council. Coffee Talk begins at 8am at the Sevierville Civic Center. Guests are welcome to attend and learn more about the Sevierville Chamber of Commerce.
