NASHVILLE – During a live interview on Sydney, Australia’s legendary AM radio station 2SM, singer Jasmine Rae and CMA Board member Rob Potts surprised morning show presenter Grant Goldman with a presentation of the CMA International Country Broadcaster Award. Goldman thought Rae was there solely to promote the new Deluxe Edition of her album Look It Up.
Throughout his three decades in radio, Goldman has been a strong supporter of Country Music. His 2SM breakfast show is syndicated to 33 stations on the Super Radio Network. Although the show plays a variety of musical styles, he has been known to program nearly 20 percent of his shows with Country Music. Goldman also frequently invites local Country artists to perform and be interviewed on-air.
“I am truly surprised and thrilled to receive this Award,” said Goldman. “It’s a real boost for me to realize the industry DOES recognize what I’m trying to achieve and I’m now even more motivated! Thank you CMA Board!”
