Monthly Online Educational Series Can Be Found On CMA’s Member Web Site, My.CMAworld.com; New Episodes Posted Third Monday Each Month
NASHVILLE – The importance of television in advancing an artist’s career is the focus of the latest installment of CMA Industry InSite, an online educational series, posted today.
The fourteenth episode, “Transmitting Talent – The Power of TV,” is available now and features interviews with Robert Deaton, co-owner, Deaton Flanigen Productions and Executive Producer “The CMA Awards” and “CMA Music Festival: Country’s Night to Rock;” Edward Hardy, President, GAC/Scripps Network; Mary Hilliard Harrington, President, The Greenroom; Brian Philips, President, CMT (MTV Networks); Wes Vause, Vice President Media, Sony Music Nashville; and Jeff Walker, President, Aristo Media/Marco Music Group.
This latest installment discusses the ways in which of music videos as well as television talk show appearances can enhance an artist’s career.
Episodes are posted on the third Monday of the month. With each new episode, CMA members are able to submit questions to the panel of experts.
The series began as a member benefit designed to provide information about each segment of the music industry in a clear, informative, and entertaining way. Due to the popularity of the series, the CMA Board of Directors saw the importance of sharing these webisodes with non-members as the organization focuses on becoming an educational resource for the community. Non-members will be able to view the first six episodes in the series on CMA’s consumer Web site, CMAworld.com. Episode six, “Getting the Show on the Road,” featuring insight into the touring world, will be posted today. Subsequent episodes will be posted on the third Monday of each month.
