The University of Tennessee Athletics Board met Saturday and was presented an update on the state of the athletics department, including student-athletes’ academic and community success, UTAD’s budget and several facility projects. The meeting began with a discussion of UTAD’s efficiency committee findings. The University of Tennessee Athletics Department held the third annual VOLSCARS Monday at the Knoxville Convention Center. The concept for the VOLSCARS was developed by the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) as a way to showcase and celebrate the accomplishments of both the men’s and women’s athletic departments.
