cell-phone-textingMartinsville Speedway has partnered with InStadiumSolutions (“ISS”) to implement a text-message based communication system at their facility. The service debuts this weekend, October 23 – 25, at Martinsville, host to the Farm Bureau Insurance Pole Day, NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Kroger 200 and the Sprint Cup Series TUMS Fast Relief 500.

The text messaging system allows fans to communicate directly with the racetrack’s command post if assistance is needed in dealing with any special needs inside the facility. The service is being provided at all International Speedway Corporation facilities and successfully debuted in May at Darlington Raceway.

“We are extremely pleased to debut this innovative technology at Martinsville this weekend. It further demonstrates our focus checkered-flagon providing a safe, enjoyable and unforgettable race experience for our guests,” said Martinsville Speedway president W. Clay Campbell. “ISS’ text messaging system allows fans to communicate instantly with our command center and receive immediate assistance at their location. We are glad to work with ISS on this important customer service initiative for all our race fans.”

“InStadiumSolutions is thrilled to partner with Martinsville Speedway and give their fans the ability to report, within seconds, unruly fans, medical emergencies and any other track issues directly to the venue’s command center. We know the Speedway is always looking to improve the guest experience and our Fan Text Messaging System will help do just that,” said ISS’ Vice President of Sales and Marketing Scott Meyers.

Texting instructions will be placed prominently throughout each facility via static signage and will be regularly broadcast through audio and video public announcements.

Tickets for the TUMS Fast Relief 500 on Sunday, October 25, the Kroger 200 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race on Saturday, October 24 and the Farm Bureau Insurance Pole Day on Friday, October 23 are on sale and can be purchased by calling 1.877.RACE.TIX or by visiting www.martinsvillespeedway.com.
