BaseballKODAK, Tenn. – The Tennessee Smokies’ summer entertainment lineup is heating up with some heavy hitters headlining this weekend’s bill. Fireworks, Pink Ribbon Survivor Night and an appearance by one of the most popular entertainment acts in all of Minor League Baseball, Myron Noodleman, are just a few of the happenings in the “East vs. West Showdown” series between the Smokies and West Tenn Diamond Jaxx.

Thursday night is bringing families another round of “Kids Eat Free” and “Kids Run the Bases.” All kids 12-and-under in with paid admission to the 7:15 game get a free hot dog, chips and small Pepsi product. Following the game, they get to run off dinner with a lap around the bases.

Friday’s 7:15 game will bring fans all over East Tennessee another “Fireworks Friday” at Smokies Park. In addition, fans can get in on the first of two U.S. Cellular “Hardball Bingo” nights this year to win some great prizes during the game.

The Smokies’ annual Pink Ribbon Survivor Night is this Saturday, with a pre-game ceremony for all cancer survivors in attendance starting at 5:30 p.m. There will be a silent auction during the 6:15 game on the commemorative pink jerseys the Smokies players will wear during the game, with all proceeds from the auction benefitting the Knoxville affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

Also on Saturday will be a guest appearance by Myron Noodleman. Dubbed the “hippest nerd in da’ biz,” Noodleman will look to entertain fans both on the field and in the stands.

On Sunday, all Smokies Kids Club members get a free field level ticket to the Smokies’ 5:00 game. It’s also another “Family FUNday” at the ballpark that will pay tribute to Disney movie classics.

Monday is all about value with $1 Hot Dog Night and Church Bulletin Night, where fans get $1 off a walk-up ticket purchase (up to four tickets) by bringing in a Sunday church bulletin to the Smokies ticket window for the 7:15 game.

Fans can learn more about Smokies ticket deals by visiting the team’s Facebook and Twitter pages, and signing up for text alerts by texting “SMOKIES” to 62447. Tickets can be purchased at www.smokiesbaseball.com or by calling (865) 286-2300. Adult field level or bleacher seats are $10/$8. Child (12-and-under) and senior (55+) field level or bleacher seats are $9/$7.
