2015 New Swarm Exhibit at Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies

Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies presented the new 2015 “Swarm” exhibit which definitely leaves any visitor captivated and mesmerized by seeing over 1,000 animals that swarm including more fish, creatures, critters, bugs and 20 fun interactives.

Dr. William Bass, world-renowned American Forensics Anthropologist, best known for his research and founder of the famous University of Tennessee Anthropological Research Facility, “Body Farm” spoke today at the opening luncheon of the new “Swarm” exhibit.

Our “Swarm” exhibit provides our guests with an opportunity to appreciate any animal that swarms. There are over 1,000 animals for you to meet ranging from being face-to-face with American Eels to enjoying the calming view of Blue Blubber Jellyfish,” said Ryan DeSear, general manager of Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies.

During a walkthrough of this amazing exposition visitors will be able to see:

  • Halloween Crabs
  • Herding Catfish
  • Flashlight Fish
  • Blue Blubber Jellyfish
  • Clusterwink Snails

“This is a fun exhibit your family will love. You can actually get a free fish manicure,” added DeSear.

The exhibit created specifically for Ripley’s Aquarium, is free with paid admission to the aquarium and will be on display throughout 2015.
