Enjoy Fun Activities and Stock Up for Celebrations at The Farmer’s Market at Sevierville Commons on July 3rd

The Farmer’s Market at Sevierville Commons is a great place to purchase fresh meats and produce for 4th of July Celebrations while also having fun and learning a thing or two about the Revolutionary War. The weekly Farmer’s Market, held every Friday in downtown Sevierville, will celebrate the birth of our nation, the day before, on July 3, 2015, our usual market day, with special events and guests – including Revolutionary War reenactors providing demonstrations and displays, a greased watermelon relay for children ages 5 – 12 and a hot dog eating challenge between Sevierville police and fire departments.

Planned vendors include: Produce both conventional and organic, variety of fresh baked breads, pies, gourmet cupcakes, blackberries, honey, certified Longhorn steer meat, Black Angus beef, jams, jellies, preserves, fried pies, fresh squeezed oj, mushrooms, ground coffee, fresh cut flowers, soaps, pottery, scarves, mosquito oils, worm castings, watercolor notes, book letters and a hot dog vendor to name a few..

The schedule of events for the Farmer’s Market at the Commons on Friday July 3 is as follows:

  • The Farmer’s Market at the Commons is open from 9am until 1:30pm
  • Greased Watermelon Relay (children ages 5-12) begins at 11am
  • Hot Dog Eating Challenge (Sevierville Police Department vs. Sevierville Fire Department) begins at 11:30am
  • Revolutionary War Reenactors, Demonstrations and Displays from 9am until 1:30pm
