FUN-FILLED FALL FESTIVITIES TO CELEBRATE HARVEST SEASON IN THE SMOKIES


Stroll through the beautifully decorated streets of historic downtown Sevierville, delve into the

delightful aromatics of apple cider, cinnamon bread, and pumpkin spice in Pigeon Forge, immerse

yourself into an autumnal universe in Gatlinburg, and watch the Smoky Mountain community transform

your fall into an enchanted Hallmark story. Add this lineup of fun-filled fall festivities to celebrate the harvest

season in the Smokies.

October Fall Activities

 

1-31: Smoky Mountain Harvest Festival | Decorations & Events

 

Smoky Mountain Harvest Fest is a celebration that highlights local businesses’ pumpkin and scarecrow displays, flavorful fall foods, and the brilliant colors of the Smokies. 

 

1-28: Smoky Mountain Fall Festival | Ober Mountain 

 

Seasonal fun at Ober’s Smoky Mountain Fall Festival will include slides, pedal bikes and a hay track maze, a decoratively lit daily Skate Party with a rink-side DJ, Friday night movies on a 22-foot LED screen, 1,000lb pumpkins being carved in real-time, and festive food and drink!

 

1-30: Dollywood’s Harvest Festival | Dollywood

 

This season, the Dollywood forests will come alive at dark with 12,000 whimsical glowing pumpkins for the Great Pumpkin Luminights and, of course, the return of the enchanting Hoot Owl Hollow. During the day, guests can enjoy the park’s newest addition, Big Bear Mountain, along with other thrilling rides. The tantalizing scents of seasonal baked goods will fill the air adding to the overall essence of fall in the Smokies- Be sure to get your hands on some of their famous cinnamon bread!

 

1-31: Bear-Varian Fall Festival | Anakeesta 

 

Anakeesta’s Bear-Varian Fall Festival is featured as a fun twist on a traditional Bavarian festival and will feature Halloween-themed decorations, seasonal foods, a one-of-a-kind beer-tasting experience, pumpkin carvings, live music by The SkeleTones, and other Halloween-inspired interactive activities.

 

1-31: Gatlinburg Boo Bash | Gatlinburg Sky Park

 

Gatlinburg SkyPark’s Boo Bash offers a family-friendly atmosphere that is cozily filled with captivating fall décor. During Boo Bash, a special event, Fall Fest, will take place from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Oct. 27 and 28. Expect to enjoy face painting, balloon art, giveaways, live music, and games. If you’re feeling extra festive, feel free to get into the character- Costumes are encouraged!

 

1, 5-8, 12-15, 19-22, 26-29: Kyker Farms Corn Maze | Kyker Farm 

 

Th/Fr 4pm-7pm, Sa. 10am-7pm, Su. 1-7pm

 

Kyker Farm is a lush Tennessee Century Farm, celebrating 213 years of continual agricultural use. The Kyker family invites you to enjoy their personally designed corn mazes, take a hayride, and pick out the perfect pumpkin from their pumpkin patch.

 

3: Farm to Fork on Court | Downtown Sevierville 

 

If you’re looking for an unforgettable evening, consider Farm to Fork on Court. Farm to Fork on Court is the first event of its kind for Downtown Sevierville. Friends and neighbors can join together for a meal curated by top chefs with locally sourced ingredients. Sip on local wines, listen to live music, witness a captivating live art demonstration by Robert Tino, and partake in an auction- There will also be an optional whiskey & cigar nightcap to top off the night. It’s the perfect opportunity to gather with friends and neighbors for an exceptional experience.

 

3: SPD National Night Out | Sevierville Municipal Complex 

 

6pm-10pm

 

National Night Out is a positively fun environment focused on strengthening police-community partnerships to enhance the relationship between law enforcement and neighbors. Expect to enjoy community booths, giveaways, music, and food!

 

6, 13, 20, 27: Smoky Mountain Sunrise | Gatlinburg SkyPark

 

*This event must be purchased online in advance*

 

If you’ve always wanted to watch the sun illuminate the ridgelines dressed in frozen fog enveloping Gatlinburg on a crisp fall morning- Now’s your chance! Ticket holders will board the SkyLift before dawn and will watch the sky wake up together and can expect to enjoy coffee and a souvenir mug, live music, and donuts.

13-14: TNT Tractor Pull | Sevier County Fairgrounds

 

Gather around at the Sevier County Fair Grounds for the TNT Tractor Pull championship race to see who will pull the longest distance! 

 

19: History & Haunts | Historic Downtown Sevierville

 

6pm-8pm 

 

This family-friendly event, laden with autumn cheer, promises an evening filled with activities sure to delight one and all. Navigate your way through guided historic walks, partake in riveting costume contests, listen to spine-chilling tales, dance to Halloween-themed music at the dance party, and partake in thrilling lawn games. End the night on a high note with a dazzling display of fireworks. Explore the renewed charm of downtown Sevierville, bustling with vibrant activities, inviting restaurants, and enticing stores. This fall festivity is an ideal fun-filled outing for the whole family. While entry to the History & Haunts event is free of charge, certain activities may attract a nominal fee.

 

Planned activities include: 

  • History & Haunts Hayrides 
  • Dance Party – Dance the evening away to classic Halloween tunes in downtown Sevierville. 
  • Costume Contest – Come dressed in your best Halloween attire for a chance to win ghoulishly good prizes.
  • Howl-O-Ween Dog Costume Contest – Dress your pup in his or her best costume for this fun Howl-O-Ween Dog Costume Contest. Prizes will be awarded.

responsible for cleaning up after their pets*

 

  • Cornhole & Lawn Games – Enjoy crisp fall evenings and challenge friends and family to a game of cornhole or other fun lawn games
  • Historic Downtown Sevierville Walking Tour – Tour downtown Sevierville with a local guide to learn hauntingly tragic tales from Sevierville’s past.

20-22: Wears Valley Fall Festival | Wears Valley

 

Spread across sixteen acres, the Wears Valley Fall Festival presents an exciting line-up of over 240 crafters, delightful food varieties, children’s events, interactive activities, and entertainment. 

 

21: 8th Annual Jeeptoberfest in the Smokies | Quaker Steak & Lube

 

The 8th Annual Jeeptoberfest in the Smokies will showcase Halloween-themed decorated Jeeps in a contest for best in show among 15 categories along with an adult costume contest, a jeep-themed pumpkin carving contest, a pet costume contest, and trunk or treat!

 

27: Pigeon Forge Halloween Spooktacular & Safety Day Event  | Pigeon Forge Community Center

 

Safety Day: 3pm – 7pm

Spooktacular: 6pm – 9pm

 

Bring your costumed kiddos to the Pigeon Forge Community Center on October 27th for a family-friendly Halloween celebration! Enjoy decorations, candy, and lots of fun. Don’t miss out on the Halloween Spooktacular in Pigeon Forge!

 

28: Chocolate & Wine Trail | Rocky Top Wine Trail

 

October 28th: 11AM – 4PM

 

The Chocolate & Wine Trail will lead you to 3 locations: Mountain Valley Winery, Hillside Winery, and Mill Bridge Winery. You can start the trail in any order you like. Guests 21 & up with a valid ID will get to enjoy a glass of wine of their choice of 2 available offerings paired with decadent desserts. 

 

31: Sheriff’s Halloween Spooktacular | Sevier County

 

5:00pm-8:00pm

The 5th Annual Sheriff’s Halloween Spooktacular is a safe and fun environment for Sevier County families to trunk or treat with local fire, police, EMS, government agencies, and special business partners that work within Sevier County.

 

31: Ripley’s Trick or Treat Kick Off Karnival | Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies Plaza

 

Ripley’s Trick or Treat Kick Off Karnival will feature a Halloween extravaganza from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm on October 31. Visiting guests and local residents will enjoy contests, costumed characters, candy, and more. Festival locations will be at Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies Plaza in Gatlinburg. All proceeds benefit Heartland Services in Sevierville.

 

31: Halloween Trick or Treating at The Island | The Island

 

Bring the whole family to enjoy the free, family-friendly trick-or-treating event this Halloween at The Island from 5-7 PM. Delight in spooky fountain shows and music throughout the night!
