Nearly 15 years after opening his first Firehouse Subs restaurant in Knoxville, Firehouse Subs Franchisee James Blake has been presented with an Axe Award in the Mid-Atlantic Franchisee of the Year category by Firehouse of America.
“My wife Susan and I are humbled to receive this top honor within the Firehouse Subs system,” said Blake. “We’ve poured our hearts and souls into each restaurant we’ve opened since our first in 2006. It’s an honor to support our communities alongside team members that exemplify our values, including giving our guests heartfelt service and supporting the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation.”
This award recognizes high performing franchisees throughout the Firehouse Subs system and honors the Blakes for their commitment to building and developing teams to operate their eight top-performing restaurants in sales and for their unwavering support of Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation.
The Blakes are also actively involved with the communities they operate in, embracing the Firehouse Subs initiative H2O for Heroes which has allowed them to collect and donate thousands of cases of water for local fire departments.
The Blakes own and operate eight Firehouse Subs restaurants across Knoxville, Oak Ridge, Maryville, Farragut, Pigeon Forge and Lenoir City.
