School is Back in Session: Important New Traffic Patterns for County Schools

Summer has ended, and the long-awaited day has finally come: the first day of school! Don’t let school drop-offs and pickups overwhelm the day as you and your students fall back into routine! To help ease the transition to a new grade and maybe even a new school, use these guide maps to make back to school a breeze!

Catlettsburg Elementary School

All students must arrive by 7:45 AM. The main drop-off and pickup area will be behind the school (via the solid red line). A staff member may direct you down the dotted route during peak hours. Please only merge off the main when administered to ensure an efficient and safe drop-off/pickup process for all staff, parents, and students.

The school day will end at 2:45 PM. Please follow the same cycle as you did for drop-off.

Northview Junior and Senior Academy

All students must arrive by 7:50 AM. Please follow along the solid line around the back of the school. Traffic will remain one way throughout the entire drop-off process to ensure an efficient and safe drop-off/pickup process for all staff, parents, and students.

The school day will end at 2:50 PM. Please follow the same cycle as you did for drop-off.

Sevierville Primary School (PreK – 1st Grade)

All students must arrive by 7:50 AM. There will be two drop-off zones. All traffic from Middle Creek must drop off students through the front of the school. All traffic from Veterans Blvd. must drop off students at the back of the school. Please follow all directions from staff to ensure an efficient and safe drop-off process for all staff, parents, and students.

The school day will end at 2:50 PM. Queue lines, represented by the solid red line, will be available at 2 PM for all parents. Once directed, queue lines will release to the pickup route around the back of the school. Please follow all directions from staff to ensure an efficient and safe pickup process for all staff, parents, and students.

Sevierville Elementary (2nd – 3rd Grade) and Intermediate Schools (4th – 6th Grade)

School start times will be staggered to help ease traffic. Sevierville Elementary will begin at 8:00 AM. Sevierville Intermediate will begin at 8:05 AM. For easy drop-off, both schools will follow the solid red lines. Please form two lines to keep lines moving and traffic to a minimum.

As before, end times will be staggered to ease the traffic demand. Sevierville Elementary will let out at 3:00 PM. Sevierville Intermediate will release at 3:05 PM. All Elementary school traffic should follow along the dotted line to the left. All Intermediate school traffic will continue along both solid lines. Please follow all directions from staff to ensure an efficient and safe pickup process for all staff, parents, and students.

Sevier County Junior High (7th – 9th Grade) and High School (10th – 12th Grade)

All students must arrive by 8:10 AM. There will be two entrances to campus. If you are coming from the west, you must enter via the red light entrance. If you are coming from the east, you will turn right onto the service road (prior bus entrance).

All High School traffic will follow the purple lines to the front of the school and exit via the red light onto Dolly Parton Pkwy.

All Junior High traffic will circle behind the High School along the blue line towards the primary drop-off zone at the front of the Junior High. Then, all parents will exit onto Old Newport Highway or turn right onto Dolly Parton Pkwy.

If you have students in BOTH the High School and Junior High, follow along the purple line and drop off your high school student first. Then, continue around the red line. Instead of exiting, follow the red line towards the Junior High to create the second drop-off line. Follow the red line until you reach the secondary drop-off zone. You will exit onto Old Newport Highway or turn right onto Dolly Parton Pkwy.

The school day will end at 3:10 PM. For pickup, follow the same cycle as you did for drop-off. Please follow all directions from staff to ensure an efficient and safe pickup process for all staff, parents, and students.

School drop-off and pickup maps were provided by Sevierville Police Department. All mapped routes have the potential to change as school officials see fit. Please plan your time accordingly for high traffic volumes as the county transitions back to school.
